First Class Improvisers
Like any performing group, it takes a lot of hard work and talent to put together the ‘miracle’ of live improvisational comedy. Besides the three permanent members of MPIII which you will see at almost every show, there are a few other exceptional individuals who have worked hard for your laughs, and had a great time doing it.
Bill McCurry

Finally somone who has class
Bill McCurry has over 25 years of theatrical experience, appearing in works from Rogers and Hammerstein to Dylan Thomas to George Orwell. He’s been a regular guest performer at MPIII improv water balloon shows since 2006, and he maintains that there’s nothing as good for an actor’s focus as a high-velocity water balloon to the eyeball.
Bill possesses extensive experience in improvised interactive theater that engages the audience in the show, working as an actor, an instructor, and a director. He’s currently writing a guide on the tools and techniques for Guerilla Theater. He describes Guerilla Theater as improvised theater in which the actors bring the audience into the performance as fellow players, using only the tools that they carry with them or find in the environment. After a couple of beers he describes Guerilla Theater as the intersection between theater and street fighting. After a lot of beers he describes it as the theatrical equivalent of 15 clowns jumping out of a tiny car.
Bill lives and works in the Dallas, Texas area, is lucky in love, and unlucky at cards. He thinks that the maximum number of cats in a household should be three, because when you have four one of them can always get behind you. His favorite book is “Bill the Galactic Hero on the Planet of Tasteless Pleasure” by Harry Harrison, which can currently be purchased on Amazon.com for 1 penny (plus $8.99 shipping).
Jill Headen

Jill - Comedic Force of Nature
Jill’s first foray into improvisational comedy was at Manhattanville College in New York where she took an “Improvisation and Theater
Games” class with Mike Rock. After completing her degree in Computer Science, she moved back to Dallas, Texas and joined ComedySportz Dallas in October 2004. She performed with them and occasionally taught workshops for them until ComedySportz Dallas closed in 2008.
She still plays with ComedySportz now and then as a Free Agent, and has performed in Austin, Texas; Chicago; Manchester, England; and Portland, Oregon. She is performing with ComedySportz again in New York City and Philadelphia, Pa in July 2010.
Favorite quote from a fan: “That girl ain’t right.”.
Roxxane Penz

Rox - not just another pretty face
Roxanne is just gosh darn happy to be along for the ride. After taking a few years off from performing to have her wonderful children, her delightfully supportive husband more or less ordered her back into the game. (Thank you love of my life!)
She comes from an extensive background of performing, everything from the starving actor role in New York to a national dinner theater tour to working for “the mouse” to performing at Scarby to teaching middle school theatre. But her heart is in Improv.
“Zeke” Swinford

Kids think I am old?!?
“Ezekiel “Zeke” Swinford is rather new to the acting and improvisation game, having only started into both in 2002 as a freshman in high school.
Since then, he has performed at UTA and Scarborough Faire, and has been a guest with Motley Players Three since 2008. Where he lacks experience, he makes up for in vigor, youth, looks, and the willingness to cross-dress to bring in a crowd on a rainy day.
Zeke is also a Substitute teacher for AISD. He is also an expert in the video game field, having started his training at the age of six. Zeke also enjoys talking about himself in the third person, as it gives him an omnipotent feeling.
Patrick Haughton
Patrick has been acting his entire life. As an only child, Patrick used interpretation and justification to aid him in overcoming the lack of siblings to blame things on.
Later, in his teen years, Improv skills aided him in meeting lots of girls who valued his wit and charm, but would not sleep with him.
These days, he really likes to use acting and improv as an outlet from the doldrums of his normal job in the IT world. It was that or a clock tower and a rifle…we feel he has made the better choice.
He was honored when MPIII asked him to perform with them. Even if he suspects the truth is they just needed a bigger meat shield for the water balloon shows, he still gets to perform. Also, as Bevis likes to point out, he is dating a hot chick that comes to the shows…oh how times have changed.
